В Штуттгарте готовят к запуску следующую модель.

Пока Сеть взахлеб обсуждает первые официальные фото нового Mercedes S-Class Криса Доэйна (похоже, флагманский седан «трехлучевой звезды» справит дебют на автосалоне в Нью-Йорке)...

...команда Дитера Цетше готовится к следующему шагу в своей рыночной экспансии. И очередным пополнением в гамме станет Mercedes X-Class.

Автомобиль будет построен на платформе Renault Clio (что позволит и дальше снижать издержки в рамках работы альянса Daimler-Renault-Nissan). На данный момент планируется, что эту модель предложат в виде седана и кроссовера.

Таким образом, дебютировавший только что в Женеве Renault Captur (на фото выше) обзаведется немецким родственником. Под капотом Mercedes X-Class окажутся 3- и 4-цилиндровые двигатели, ориентировочная стоимость – 20 тысяч евро/26 тысяч долларов, в год планируется 100-150 тысяч автомобилей. Премьера новинки намечена на 2018 год.

Напомню: согласно планам концерна Daimler, предложение Mercedes для молодых покупателей должно расшириться с нынешних двух моделей – A-Class и B-Clas – до пяти. Глобальная цель – вернуть марке лидирующие позиции в люксовом сегменте. И похоже, в Штуттгарте хотят добиться присутствия в каждом рыночном классе, предложив в нем свою премиумную модель.
